The Visitor Center “Tea House – Oasis of Peace” is located in Špišić Bukovica, where you can learn a lot of interesting things about tea production, plants, their medicinal properties, animals, but let’s start from the beginning.. At the very beginning of the tour, we will take you back to the history of this area and introduce you to all the interesting facts related to the main theme of the center, which is tea. Continuing the tour and exploration, you will be guided along an educational trail where you will learn about some of the plants used in tea production, as well as about the animals that are very important in the pollination phase and are long-time residents of our meadows. In the impressive and spacious courtyard, there are tea tasting rooms, an outdoor educational trail, a children’s playground, and a beautiful summer terrace. The tea tasting rooms, a total of six, are themed differently, each with its own special story about the plants used in tea production. In each of the themed tasting rooms, you can enjoy the aroma of plants, creams, pleasant and relaxing music, several educational information, as well as the tea tasting itself to complete the experience.

The tea tasting room for larger groups is located within the main building and offers a very inspiring view of the entire complex of our visitor center. The center also houses a souvenir shop with suitable souvenirs related to the theme of tea and the area of the Špišić Bukovica municipality. Right next to the souvenir shop, there is an educational room for holding various seminars, presentations, and similar events. The birth house of Petar Preradović in Grabrovnica was built in the 18th century. The house itself, as an old building of a special style for this region, represents a great historical value, but it is also much more than that – a kind of cultural monument because one of the greatest Croatian poets – Petar Preradović was born in it on March 19, 1818, whose importance for Croatian culture does not need to be specially emphasized. During the Military Frontier period, the house served as a border “station”.

After the disarmament in the second half of the 19th century until about forty years ago, it housed a tavern, and in recent years before the renovation, it served as a warehouse for an agricultural cooperative. In the middle of 1909, it was renovated and a marble plaque (profiled, with a relief portrait – a cast of Rendić’s portrait from the tombstone in the Mirogoj arcades, and the text: “In this house was born / the Croatian poet / Petar Preradović / March 19, 1818 / Erected by the Croatian people / 1909”) was placed on it.

The Geoinfo Center in Voćin is the starting point for getting acquainted with the Papuk Geopark – through a multimedia and interactive exhibition, visitors can learn about the geological, biological, and cultural-historical heritage of Papuk. Papuk has been a UNESCO Geopark since 2007 and a member of the Global Geoparks Network and the European Geoparks Network as the first geopark in Croatia.

These values ​​of Papuk were precisely the inspiration for the visitor Geoinfo Center.

The Drava Story Visitor Center offers developed content aimed at various categories of visitors – for children and youth through the implementation of nature school programs, as well as various forms of field trips for students, River School programs, programs for nature lovers, healthy living enthusiasts, and recreational activities through group or individual visits. The Drava Story Visitor Center provides services for implementing accredited nature school programs, accommodation, professional guidance, as well as various additional activities for education and active leisure time.

Centar za posjetitelje Križnica usmjeren je na interpretaciju prirodne baštine vezane uz rijeku Dravu. Uz uređenje i opremanje objekta, uređen je i vanjski dio Centra za posjetitelje koji obuhvaća zelenu površinu na kojoj je izgrađena posjetiteljska infrastruktura i uređen okoliš za provođenje aktivnosti škole u prirodi, poučna staza, umjetno biološko jezero te hortikulturno uređenje s autohtonim biljnim vrstama. U sklopu Centra za posjetitelje, uređena je i pješačko-biciklistička staza duljine 210 metara koja povezuje Centar sa rijekom Dravom. Centar za posjetitelje u prizemlju objekta ima opremljenu bioistraživačku stanicu, multimedijsku prezentacijsku dvoranu, multimedijsku učionicu, podiznu platformu, vidikovac i suvenirnicu.

Osnovna namjena bioistraživačke stanice je edukacija posjetitelja predškolskog i školskog uzrasta te studenata tijekom organiziranih obilazaka Centra u sklopu škole u prirodi i terenskih nastava za studente, ali i edukacija svih ostalih posjetitelja. Stanica je opremljena svjetlosnim mikroskopima, stereoskopskim lupama, aparatom za analizu vode, ključevima za determinaciju ptica, sisavaca, gmazova, riba i ostalom stručnom literaturom koja posjetiteljima omogućuje da pobliže upoznaju zaštićene vrste i bioraznolikost područja Križnice. U multimedijskoj prezentacijskoj dvorani na inovativan i interaktivan način posjetitelji mogu sudjelovati u kreiranju vlastitog doživljaja izborom sadržaja koji žele projicirati pomoću multimedijske opreme.

Muzej grada Virovitice nalazi se u samom centru, a nudi razgledavanje stalnih postava „Drveno doba“ i „Povijest grada i Dvorca“ uz stručno vodstvo Imenom Drveno doba otvaramo priču o drvetu kroz sve aspekte ljudskog djelovanja i života. Drvo pronalazimo u osobnim stvarima i domu obitelji, u ljudskom stvaralaštvu i djelovanju, ali i zajednici i duhovnosti. Čovjek je vezan uz drvo od svojih početaka do danas te ga koristi i kroz sve sfere života. Sve te odnose, proizvode i artefakte u Muzeju smo predstavili kroz gotovo 1500 izložaka i mnoštvo multimedijskih i interaktivnih sadržaja.

Stalni postav Drveno doba sadrži tri velike teme koje obilježavaju ljudsku egzistenciju:

1. Obitelj, kao temeljna društvena jedinica
2. Privređivanje u svrhu stjecanja sredstava za život
3. Zajednica unutar koje pojedinci ostvaraju suživot i dijele određene društvene i duhovne vrijednosti Muzeja.

Uz Drveno doba posjetiteljima pružamo i uvid u povijest Virovitice i njene okolice kroz kulturno – povijesni prikaz života, prilika, neprilika, odnosa i sukoba uz stručna vodstva i sve druge muzejske usluge. Uz Muzej i sam Dvorac Pejačević s perivojem impresivna je građevina s početka 19. stoljeća, koja već izdaleka pobuđuje poštovanje i interes prolaznika te ga bez imalo zadrške smatramo najznačajnijim izloškom.
